I passed one of their location that's just to the right after exiting the Technology Building MRT Station many times and smelled the tantalizing aroma of bread. Unfortunately, I was full or heading to a restaurant to eat the first ten times I passed it. I finally tried it and loved the three bread items I got enough to come back on several visits to try most of their selection at that location. That location is a stand that only sells some of their items, the most popular items. Some of their locations are full bakery shops with a bigger selection of bread items. After visiting one of their full bakery shops, I found that all my favorite bread items of theirs could be found at the Technology Building MRT Station location, and perhaps all their stand locations if they all sell the same items. There were only two items that I found at their full bakery that I really liked that their stand location didn't have: salty cheese bread and Yang Russian Bread (pictures and descriptions are below in the photo section).
I was told that Yan Pang is owned by the same person/people as How Sweet Bakery, another good bakery option. That's why they kept the How Sweet sign over the Yan Pang location near the Technology Building Station location. Yan Pang uses Japanese flour to make their items. Personally, I found more bread items that I thought were delicious at Yan Pang than at most bakeries in Taipei. They have a deal were you can save money if you buy three of their items. Depending on the bread items, the deal is 3 for NT$100 or NT$120. All items at the stand locations are on this deal, and only some of the items are on this deal at the full bakery shop locations.
My favorite items at Yan Pang: Maple Garlic Twist, Yang Butter Roll, Garlic Bread, Peanut Bread, Bread with Milk and Egg, Pineapple Bun with Iced Butter, Yang Russian Bread, Salty Cheese, and Pudding Crescent. The last two weren't available at the stand location that I went to and were purchased at one of their full bakery locations.
