Woosa is a Taiwanese restaurant that imitates what a Japanese restaurant would imitate about an American restaurant. Whoa, what the fuck did you just say? That's right, kind of weird, but Woosa pulls it off and does it well, as their food is similar to stuff that I've had at Tokyo before. I could see Woosa doing well if it was situated in Tokyo.
Their biggest draw is no doubt their souffle pancakes. It's the best Taiwanese version of a Japanese souffle pancake that I've tried. You can't go wrong with any of their souffle pancake options, so I didn't bother adding critiques about them in the photo section.
Woosa doesn't stop at having good souffle pancakes, they also have some other nice items. Besides their pancakes, I recommend their Chicken Cobb Salad and Fried Chicken Cheese Burger. They also have a wagyu double cheese burger, but I recommend getting the fried chicken burger instead because the beef burger didn't taste like wagyu and had two patties that were as big as a McDonald's beef patty. Whereas a good amount of fried chicken is served with the chicken burger, and their fried chicken tastes delicious: tender, juicy, and flavorful.
Their pasta dishes looked good, so I gave them a try. If you're a local, you'll probably enjoy their pasta, but Westerners like myself most likely will find them a bit too bland to be thoroughly satisfying. Same goes with their rice bowls. I didn't try their curry rice because it's mostly just rice, and I'm not a big rice person.
With any meal you can get a free drink up to NT$130, or pay the difference for a more expensive beverage. This is a really nice feature that you'll rarely find at a Taiwanese-owned restaurant. I REALLY HATE those Taiwanese cafes that force you to buy one of their stupid, expensive drinks along with any dining-in session. How fucking stupid is that! Thank you Woosa for not being fucking stupid.
I recommend Woosa's location across from Songshan "Cultural" and Creative Park because their location in Q Square can be a big bitch. They seem rude to international clientele at that location, or maybe they're just rude to everyone. Also, they don't take reservations on weekends because they want to waste your time and have you queue up so you can waste your life giving them free "long-line marketing". This is a marketing strategy that Taiwan has created, and for some dumbass reason it really deceives the locals. Even when you try to make a reservation on a weekday, they try to force you to take certain eating times even though their schedule isn't full. They're trying way too hard at trying to convey that they're a popular place and are just coming off as assholes by treating their customers like dog shit. Some friends and I went to the Q Square location one time and were the only ones waiting for a table, and their staff told us it would be an hour and a half wait. The staff said it with a straight-faced, rude countenance. They might as well have said, "Fuck you and go away". I almost didn't bother reviewing Woosa because of their Q Square location, and after eating several times at their Songshan Park location, I almost gave Woosa a 4-star rating because of their Q Square location, but I decided to review their Songshan Park location only since they weren't assholes. (Dear Taipei readers of this website: I know you're going to miss my crude, straightforward reviews. I'll miss you too. This is my 3rd to last review before the new guy takes over.)

Woosa has souffle pancakes, yeah, but what's all this confusion about cheese being scraped onto burgers. Brian is still trying to get to the bottom of this culinary mystery as he takes on Woosa and all their cheese-scraping schemes. Now you can help Brian get to the bottom of this mystery by giving him your money.
