i Cafe had a monumental opening date of December 21, 2012, which didn't end up being the end of the world. Although large groups of people sometimes visit i Cafe, it's usually a place that's on the quieter side where couples and solo visitors can have a relaxing visit. I noticed that it's particularly popular for solo visitors working on their laptops, since they provide wall outlets. I don't know of any time limit, but someone commented on their Google Map page that they have a 3-hour time limit.
i Cafe makes great coffee. Not only do they make the typical coffee drinks, they also have dessert drinks infused with alcohol that are very nice. They're more on the pricey side, but those type of drinks always are. As with most coffee shops in Taipei that have air-conditioned indoor seating, the price of their coffee is more on the expensive side, but still not as expensive as some other coffee shops and cafes that make the same or lesser-quality drinks.
Their homemade dessert selection is one of the major draws of i Cafe. I loved every dessert that I tried of theirs, except for their apple pie which I thought was just okay. Their tiramisu was authentic and delicious; it's only the 3rd legit tiramisu I've come across in Taipei and is a must order.
Another major attraction of i Cafe is that they provide Gou Jia drink creations. They partnered with Gou Jia in order to offer yummy milkshakes, smoothies, and slushies to their customers. Not only are they yummy, but some of their presentations are elaborate and eye-pleasing, something that the locals really like about drinks and food. More importantly, they're delicious and contain real fruit -- a fruit stand resides near the door in order to display the real fruit they use in their Gou Jia drink creations.
