蜂檸檬100%天然飲 Fun Lemon is a drink shop that prides itself on serving 100% natural drinks. They only use cane sugar or honey to sweeten their drinks -- no fructose or other unhealthy sweeteners are used. All their drinks are served cold (not too cold) but without any ice since their drinks are kept chilled and don't need ice, and ice increases the chance of bacterial infection, so don't order from them if you're feeling like a warm drink. There drinks can be enjoyed year-round, but are especially refreshing during summer and other humid and/or hot days.
They keep it simple with a small menu of drinks that come in one size: 500cc. The five drinks they serve are: Honey Lemon, Longan Honey, Lemon Juice, Passion Fruit, and Passion Fruit with Lemon. The two latter drinks are my favorite. Each drink costs NT$50. They use just enough cane sugar to balance out the sour taste of the passion fruit and/or the lemon juice.
Since they only serve one size, one temperature, and use a standard amount of cane sugar or honey in the drinks that call for it, ordering is a lot easier than at tea shops where you choose size, hot or cold, how much ice, how much sugar, and additions. It's all set at Fun Lemon, just choose your drink and that's it. However, there are two healthy chewy additions you can add in your drink for an additional NT$10: aloe vera or konjac. They were both good, but I liked the konjac better because it is chewier (more QQ). There is something about having chunks of something chewy floating in your drink that you suck up with your straw that makes a drink more exciting. Maybe I'm just reminiscing of my first three months in Taiwan where I drank at least one pearl milk tea every day. Yes, I was a bubble tea addict back in the day. Since then, I've moved on to healthier drinks (coffee, tea, and juice) that my palate has come to enjoy more, regardless of being healthier or not.
You can order any one of their drinks in a 1,000cc takeaway bottle for NT$90, which is a savings of NT$10 since their regular drinks are 500cc and cost NT$50 each. They also sell Longan honey that is used in some of their drinks.
