It's OK ☆☆☆
Taipei coffee shop offering: Coffee / Tea / Tea Latte / Snow Icees / Milk Tea
E-Coffee opened their first shop in Taichung in 2002 and now have more than 280 franchised outlets, including international outlets in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Malaysia.
A few of their locations are 24 hours. Starbucks lodged a complaint in October of 2004 to the Intellectual Property Office under the Ministry of Economic Affairs over E-Coffee's trademark registration, saying that the similarity of E-Coffee's logo to Starbucks' would confuse consumers. Starbucks ended up losing and E-Coffee kept its trademark logo. E-Coffee's goal is to be Asia's Starbucks and keep opening locations throughout Asia. Their coffee is actually pretty similar to Starbucks, which means it isn't good. However, it's about half the price.
Their coffee is a little better than a convenience store, so if you're hard up for some caffeine and there are no great coffee shops around, it's a last ditch resort. They sell their coffee for a fair price, similar to Cama, Wilbeck, and Tiamo, but they're nowhere as good as said places.
*UPDATE: The location that offered cake and a huge cream puff closed. I haven't seen any of those items at any of their other locations, so don't go there trying to order those yummy items you see in the pictures below.
