Coffee : Stand Up opened in March of 2014. They serve Italian-style coffee: coffee in smaller cups with less milk dilution, or none at all. They also have a standing bar like some coffee shops in Italy where one downs their café (espresso shot) or other coffee beverage before heading to work, but they also have a small seating area, as shown in the pictures below, if you want to relax with your coffee. Their coffee prices are cheaper than most other Italian-style coffee shops in Taipei. Italian-style coffee shops in Taipei, or anywhere, shouldn't cost a lot because less ingredients are needed than American-style coffee, so if anything, it should be cheaper than American-sized coffee. Throughout Italy, a cappuccino averages a cost of 1.35 € (only NT$44). -Numbeo's cost of living
The only reason I didn't give Coffee : Stand Up five stars is because they had one major flaw: Their drinks lacked a caffeine-punch. After every single one of my visits -- about five -- I didn't notice the effects of caffeine running through my body like I normally do when I drink coffee; I didn't notice it while I was drinking it, minutes later, or even an hour later. I really liked the place, so I was hoping on each visit that the lack of caffeine was an anomaly or some other variable, but to no avail. Also, I should mention, and this point that I'm about to make is only a preference and not a quality issue, their coffee isn't strong and more on the smooth-milky-tasting side, so if you prefer a strong-coffee flavor in your coffee beverages, I don't recommend Coffee : Stand Up for you.
Therefore, if you're a coffee drinker that doesn't like bitter, strong-tasting coffee drinks; doesn't need a caffeine high; and likes Italian-style coffee, Coffee : Stand Up will be a great place for you. If you like any of the opposite of these three points, Coffee : Stand Up will most likely fail to satisfy you. I happen to like my coffee strong and it needs to possess enough caffeine so that I can feel it, so unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed the service and atmosphere of Coffee : Stand Up, it isn't the coffee shop for me.
They had excellent service and nice, quiet music on every single one of my visits.

Take a very short glimpse into Italy's coffee culture. Like Coffee : Stand Up, there are coffee shops in Italy that have stand up bars for downing your café (espresso shot) or other coffee beverages before heading to work. Keep in mind that Coffee : Stand Up in Taipei also has a small seating area if you want to relax with your coffee.
Cafe scene in one of the best movies of all time, Inception. Hey, it's related, there's coffee that shakes in the video.
