Brother Mun Dessert has existed since 1979. Ain't that just groovy? You might be looking at my photos and what they have to offer and thinking: That doesn't look anything like Cantonese dessert. I spend nine years teaching English in Hong Kong, Jaysun, so I know what Cantonese dessert is. You can't fool me, you piece of shit. By the way, when are you going to post more pictures of your pecks and abs again, you narcissistic son of a bitch?
And I would reply by saying, you're right, they don't serve commonly-known Cantonese dessert, and dismiss your other comments. Brother Mun's desserts are supposed to be healthy desserts. Their desserts are refreshing and will lightly take residence in your stomach with ease, instead of hostilely squating in your stomach, running amuck, forcefully pushing other stomach residence down to your intestines before it's their time. They focus mostly on dishes that contain mango and durian, but also have other items—coconut pops up enough on the menu to call it their third most used ingredient. Their mango dishes aren't available during winter. They have different types of nut paste that can be served by your choice of hot or cold. I like their mango and nut paste desserts the best, but that's only because I don't like durian. If you are one of those sick individuals who gets off on durian, you must pay Brother Mun a visit. My five favorite desserts of theirs were: Pearl Mango Sago Pomelo with Ice Cream, Mango Pancake, Mango & Black Glutinous Rice, Black Sesame Paste & Almond Paste, and Peanut Powder & Shredded Coconut on Sesame Tangyuan. The latter dessert is by far their sweetest dessert; in fact, it's their only dessert that I tried that tasted sweet like a Western dessert would.
Brother Mun Dessert is an excellent shop to visit to try unique desserts that are healthier than your typical dessert. Despite Taipei's rapingly-high commercial property rent, their prices are reasonably low when you consider—"Those prices aren't low, fuck you Jaysun!" Well, their desserts aren't expensive like so many other dessert places in Taipei, so back off, tough stuff, or you may suffer a durian-demise tonight in your nightmares.
It's also a great late-night option, being that they're open till 1 a.m. every day.
There is a very similar place in Hong Kong called Honeymoon Dessert. I wonder if they have any affiliation.
Vegetarian options: Since it's a dessert shop, it's no surprise that everything they offer is vegetarian.
